Hi, I’m Christine Eyre the Founder and Designer of the Silk Islands Collection, and I would like to tell you a little about my collection.

The exquisite Silk Island’s Kaftans are hand made using the finest silks from Hangzhou, the “Silk Capital” of Asia. In Hangzhou the silks are made using ancient techniques and each pattern is hand printed!

Once the silks arrive in Australia they are hand cut and hand sewn by me the designer and founder of Silk Islands.

Next I hand embellish these simple yet beautiful designs with the spectacular genuine Swarovski Crystals which bring the garments to life, and a Silk Islands Kaftan is born!

My inspiration for Silk Island was “Luxurious Comfort” for every woman.

Silk Islands Kaftans are made either from Silk Chiffon which is so soft and floaty or they are made from Silk Satin which is the most luxurious fabric in the world.
